The family platters are a highlight, perfectly designed for sharing with 4 to 5 people, making every bite a celebration of taste. Most Disliked

Some visitors note that Awa Restaurant primarily accepts cash, a minor inconvenience given the nearby cash points. Although this isn’t a dealbreaker, it can create a slight hassle for those relying on card payments. A few patrons mention that peak times, especially on Saturday evenings, lead to a bustling atmosphere that may feel overwhelming. The restaurant can reach full capacity, which might result in longer waits for a table or for food during busy nights. Additionally, the dining area can get quite crowded, impacting the overall experience for those seeking a quieter meal.

The most delicious and flavourful food we’ve had from such a clean and well-kept restaurant. We usually come here just for a meal when visiting family in Birmingham but this time we had an event with 150 people, and honestly, they prepared something truly amazing for us — with the same unique and amazing taste, special atmosphere, and a beautiful setup. A very skilled and talented chef, along with such a kind and helpful staff. A big thank you to the owner. We are deeply grateful to every single one of them; they made our event even more joyful and memorable.

This could be my number one Kurdish restaurant. Very welcoming staff. Very attentive. The place looks nice and was very clean. Free soup as soon as you sit down. Menu was great, had good variety. I had chicken sheesh which came with refreshing salad and naan. Very juicy and cooked to perfection. They have plenty of parking. They do only take cash but cash point is just 60seconds around the corner. I highly recommend this place and will be back.

Awa Restaurant is truly one of the best dining spots around. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed — clean, comfortable, and perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish is made with fresh ingredients and full of authentic flavor. Whether you’re trying the traditional Kurdish dishes or something from the international menu or the sea food menu, everything tastes perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and you can tell the chefs really care about quality and consistency. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations. Service is fast and professional, but never rushed — you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, Awa Restaurant is a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Best Kurdish cuisine in Birmingham, generous portion, very tasty and very quick and friendly service. The prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend their Kurdish lamb Kebab and chicken kebab though their signature dish is their grilled sea bass. Thank you
